"If you're not doing anything wrong, you shouldn't be worried", right?
WRONG.
Anybody who has been paying attention lately knows:
- Governments everywhere are quickly losing control, losing legitimacy
and losing credibility.
- Intelligence agencies have basically gone off the reservation and are
now engaged in wholesale surveillance of their own citizens, whether
their respective governments know or not.
- Non-governmental bodies like corporate lobbies are increasingly
asserting "pseudo-lawmaker" status and infringing on your rights
and privacy.
Never before has it been more important to reclaim your privacy and
assert ownership over your own data:
- If you are a whistleblower
- A political dissident
- Somebody with an unpopular opinion
Or just not thrilled with the prospect of having your data and
activities vacuumed, warehoused and shared by god knows who for who
knows what purposes at some point in time.
